Use Cases -- Aspose.Cells FOSS for TypeScript
Aspose.Cells FOSS for TypeScript is suitable for a range of document-processing scenarios.
Document Generation
Build a workbook from scratch with new Workbook(), write values with
worksheet.putValue(), and apply formatting through Style (fonts, fills,
number formats) before writing the result out. Workbook.save() writes
.xlsx; the dedicated toCsv(), toJson(), toMarkdown(), and toHtml()
methods generate those formats directly from the same in-memory workbook –
useful for exporting a report in several formats from one build step,
without opening the file again per format.

npm install
npm run buildData Extraction
Open an existing .xlsx file with Workbook.load(), then read cell values
back out with worksheet.getCell() or getCellByRef(). Worksheet also
exposes the structural pieces around the raw values – merged-cell ranges
(mergeCells()/unmergeCells()), applied data validation
(addDataValidation()), and comments (addComment()) – so a script can
recover not just what a cell contains but how the sheet is organized.
Automated Processing
Because the library runs as a plain TypeScript/Node.js dependency with no
Microsoft Office or COM automation requirement, workbook generation and
extraction (the two use cases above) can run unattended in a CI pipeline,
a batch job, or a server-side request handler. Workbook.protect() can
lock a generated file with a password before it leaves the process, useful
when the output is handed off to another system.
